NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities in Nashville recovered a body from the Cumberland River Monday morning.
According to Metro Nashville Dispatch, first responders were called to Riverfront Park in the 100 block of 1st Avenue South just before 12 p.m. to respond to a corpse call.

At the scene, an officer with the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) told News 2 that the individual had been in the water for a long time.
The person's identity and cause of death remains unknown. No additional details were immediately released.
