NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A woman was critically injured in an early morning crash involving three vehicles, two of which were being driven aggressively, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD).

The crash was reported just after 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3 on Interstate 24 East near the Bell Road exit.

Police said arrest warrants have been issued charging Yimer Vileno, 45, of Murfreesboro, with aggravated assault, vehicular assault, an open container violation and driving without insurance. Vileno was driving a Honda Accord with a woman in the passenger seat.

The investigation shows the Honda and a white panel van were driving aggressively down I-24 and "trying to run each other off the road," according to the MNPD.

Authorities said the Honda eventually struck the back end of the van, then the side of a Mazda SUV. The van reportedly fled while Vileno and the Mazda driver pulled off onto the exit ramp.

Vileno's passenger was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and suffered life-threatening injuries, officials said. No additional details about her condition have been released.

According to law enforcement, the Mazda driver -- 25-year-old Nilubon Wiphawachart of Nashville -- was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after officers found she was impaired.

MNPD is asking for help locating the white panel van and its driver. The vehicle has rear-end damage and broken rear windows. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
