MAURY COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) -- A blaze broke out in Maury County Saturday night, destroying part of a house and sending two people to the hospital.

The Maury County Fire Department said a number of units -- including some from Columbia Fire and Rescue and the Mount Pleasant Fire Department -- were dispatched at approximately 7:08 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9 for a reported structure fire along Stoneybrook Road.

Officials sand engines from Columbia and Maury County arrived simultaneously at the scene, where they found a home with heavy flames in the garage and moving across the attic. Personnel battled the different parts of the blaze and brought it under control within 30 minutes.

The Maury County Fire Department posted pictures on social media showing the destruction caused by the fire. However, there is no word on the estimated value of that damage or whether anyone was displaced because of it.

According to fire officials, Maury Regional Emergency Medical Services brought two residents to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
