NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A former coach at Donelson Christian Academy has been charged with the statutory rape of a student when he was 28 and the victim was 17.
According to Metro police, Tyler Forte, 32, surrendered to officers Wednesday evening after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Forte is accused of having multiple sexual encounters with a 17-year-old DCA student four years ago when he was a coach at the school.
Metro police reported the investigation began at the end of September when the now adult victim came forward to report the abuse.
Forte was booked into the Metro jail and released on a $10,000 bond.
