SPRING HILL, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 19-year-old died as a result of a crash involving a "50 plus passenger bus," according to the Spring Hill Police Department (SHPD).
A spokesperson for the department told News 2 that officers responded to the crash at 5:45 p.m. The bus, carrying 8 people, was travelling on Campbell Station Parkway west of Main Street when it struck the cyclist, according to the spokesperson.
The 19-year-old was a resident of Spring Hill and was pronounced dead at the scene. He has not been identified at this time.
The SHPD told News 2 that the scene is still under investigation and investigators are speaking with witnesses. Authorities are working to review all available evidence to determine the cause of the crash.
"We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the bicyclist," the spokesperson added.
