NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A teenager has been charged in connection with the murder of an Antioch restauranteur, but officers are still searching for his twin brother.
Marcos Leyva-Hernandez, 17, was arrested and charged with criminal homicide for Sunday night's murder of Nashville business owner 39-year-old Hwarang Joo.
Metro police announced officers have been searching for two people in connection with the investigation on Tuesday. Authorities reported Joo had just left his business, Hot Stuff Chicken, and was inside his Volkswagen SUV when gunfire erupted shortly before 11 p.m. Joo was hit and the Volkswagen accelerated before crashing into a dental office, police said.
Marcos and his twin brother, Emilio, reportedly used "an AR-style rifle" to open fire at a Dodge Charger "across the way" from Joo's Volkswagen, the MNPD added in a Thursday press release. The MNPD noted Joo "was not involved in the dispute whatsoever."
There were three people inside the Charger at the time of the shooting, but they and the Leyva-Hernandez brothers fled the scene. The MNPD said that authorities located and interviewed the individuals within the Charger. The brothers face three counts of attempted criminal homicide.

The MNPD added in a follow-up post officers are still searching for Emilio in connection with this case. In a press release, the MNPD said that both brothers were named in Juvenile Court petitions charging them with criminal homicide and three counts each of attempted criminal homicide.
Anyone who has seen Emilio, or the Ford Taurus the brothers were last seen in, is asked to call either 911 or Nashville Crime Stoppers at (615) 742-7463.
