MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two men were arrested during a traffic stop after officers found them in possession of drugs and a handgun, according to the Mt. Juliet Police Department.
Officers pulled the vehicle over Tuesday evening on Pleasant Grove Road.
The driver, identified as a 42-year-old from Watertown, was reportedly found to be in possession of marijuana and driving with a revoked license.
The passenger in the vehicle, a 54-year-old from Alexandria, was found in possession of a handgun, meth and drug paraphernalia. MJPD reported that the passenger had six previous felony convictions and a "history of meth manufacturing."
The police department shared photos of the drug bust findings following the incident.

The traffic stop was part of "Operation Safe Shopper," which was launched on Nov. 22 to address crime during the holiday shopping season. According to a release, the operation called for increased patrols by uniformed officers, undercover teams and the use of advanced law enforcement technology.
These arrests are two additions to MJPD's reported 10 arrests that were made during Operation Safe Shopper since Nov. 29.
No additional details were released.
