NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — One person has been arrested in connection with multiple fires at an apartment fire in Antioch early Thursday morning.
Firefighters were called to the 400 block of Arbor Place, which is off Bell Road near Interstate 24, around 1 a.m.
Firefighters used ladder trucks to fight the apartment fire from above. Crews worked through the morning to totally contain the fire.
Officials on scene said no one was injured in the fire. Investigators believe the fire began at the top of a vacant building and spread through the roof to multiple units.
The Nashville Fire Department (NFD) reported an arson suspect was arrested after questioning. Several dumpsters were set on fire on the property prior to the building fire, according to NFD. Investigators are working to determine if the fires are connected.
The arson suspect was charged with vandalism in connection with one dumpster fire. More charges are possible.
Electricity was cut to the property but has since been restored to other buildings.
No additional information was immediately released.
