Chapel Hill pharmacy reopens following break-in, authorities investigate

CHAPEL HILL, Tenn. (WKRN) — A pharmacy in Chapel Hill reopened Thursday following an early morning break-in, according to authorities.

The Chapel Hill Police Department posted to Facebook that suspects shattered the glass front door of a pharmacy located on Nashville Highway during the early morning on Thursday. Security footage from inside the pharmacy showed three people focusing on medication from behind the counter before fleeing in a white Dodge Durango.

However, police said the pharmacy's security system prevented the suspects from being able to steal any medications. Additionally, Marshall County dispatch and Chapel Hill officers were able to respond to the scene quickly.

The pharmacy's team was able to repair the front entry way and ensure the business could open as scheduled.
