FBI working with Springfield police to investigate armed bank robbery

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Springfield Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are working together to investigate a Thursday afternoon armed bank robbery.

According to a press release from the city of Springfield, an individual entered Volunteer State Bank at about 2 p.m. Thursday. The suspect produced a handgun and demanded money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene.

Both agencies have asked for the public's help to identify the man seen in the photos below. The Springfield Police Department has offered a cash reward for any information that could lead to the suspect's arrest.
