Traffic rerouted on I-24EB after 2-car crash in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Clarksville Police and the Tennessee Highway Patrol are currently investigating a crash that occurred on Interstate 24 in Clarksville.

According to the Clarksville Police Department (CPD), the wreck with injuries involved a semi-tractor trailer and a Jeep. The crash occurred around 8 a.m. on I-24 Eastbound near Mile Marker 8.

No information was immediately available as to the status of the drivers, but a CPD spokesperson said their injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

All eastbound traffic is being diverted onto the Exit 8 off-ramp, which allows traffic to cross Rossview Road and get back onto I-24 eastbound.

Motorists in the area are asked to find an alternate route until the roadway can be cleared.
