NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A woman has died after being struck by a vehicle while her car was broken down along Murfreesboro Pike in Antioch, according to law enforcement.

Authorities have identified the victim as 21-year-old Koriona Harding of Smyrna.

According to reports, the crash occurred around 10 p.m. Tuesday in the 4100 block of Murfreesboro Pike, near the Rutherford County Line. Harding's vehicle broke down in the area, prompting her to exit and begin walking down a turn lane.

A vehicle driving southbound down Murfreesboro Pike reportedly slammed on their brakes to avoid crashing into Harding. Behind the first vehicle, a Honda CRV — driven by a 21-year-old man — swerved into the center lane to avoid a collision and struck Harding.

Officials said she was pronounced deceased at the scene.

After the incident, the Honda driver remained on the scene, but the other vehicle continued driving. No charges were filed against the man driving the Honda.
