NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The major Arctic blast continues to send shots of cold air into the region. The next push of this cold air arrives Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Widespread single digit air temperatures will occur on Wednesday morning, with many areas seeing below zero feels like temperatures as well.
Earlier this morning, temperatures were "warmer" thanks to clouds. A cold front is clearing our region, increasing the northwest wind and making it feel colder. Temperatures today remain very cold. Afternoon highs in the Teens & 20s, feeling like the teens & single digits.


Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, temperatures plummet to the single digits. With this happening, a Cold Weather Advisory is in effect for everyone from 6 p.m. Tuesday to 9 a.m. Wednesday. This advisory is currently in effect for Southern KY now due to the extreme cold.

Wednesday morning will be another cold morning as we are forecasting 8 in Nashville. Feels like temperatures will be anywhere from 0 to 5 below zero.



Temperatures will be milder by Thursday afternoon. Friday, more clouds with a few flurries are possible. Temperatures climb to the 40s and perhaps lower 50s by Saturday. Precipitation returns Saturday night into Sunday.
