MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — Officers with the Mt. Juliet Police Department arrested three wanted suspects in separate traffic stops Wednesday.

One of the stops along Golden Bear Gateway happened after a delivery box truck reportedly ran a red light. Authorities discovered a passenger in the vehicle, a 32-year-old from Smyrna, had a felony theft warrant out of Nashville and had been wanted since September 2019.

In another stop on Pleasant Grove Road, an officer stopped a vehicle without a license plate. MJPD officials discovered a 28-year-old Hohenwald man had multiple warrants for failure to appear in court out of Lewis County. The court appearances were for non-payment of child support.

Along Interstate 40 East, a truck was pulled over for multiple alleged violations — including speeding, an unlawful window tint and expired tags. The driver, a 49-year-old Nashville man, had an active warrant from the Tennessee Department of Correction for a parole violation. Mt. Juliet police said the man had been on parole for multiple drug sales convictions and had previously been charged by the MJPD for being a felon in possession of a firearm in June 2024.

"Instead of turning himself in after being notified of his arrest warrant, he absconded and had been in hiding," the MJPD said in a social media post announcing the arrests.
