LEXINGTON, KY. (WATE) — Tennessee jumped out in front of Wofford after just 13 seconds and never fell behind, putting together a 77-62 win to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Vols got rolling with a three-pointer from Jahmai Mashack. From there, it was Chaz Lanier that lead the way offensively in the first half. His 29 points were the second most ever by a Tennessee Vol in their first time playing at the NCAA Tournament.

Lanier's 14 points before the break helped Tennessee to their largest lead of 14 points. That advantage came at the end of a 12-0 run right at the halfway point of the first half.

Tennessee finished the half on a near five minute scoring drought, but managed to hold onto a nine-point lead, 36-27 at the break.

Lanier continued to be automatic in the second half, pouring in a game-high 29 points, while connecting on 50 percent of his shots from the field in his first-ever NCAA tournament game.

With Lanier leading the way, the Terriers never got closer than eight points away from touching Tennessee's advantage, spending the majority of the second half trailing by the double digits.

Aside from Lanier dominating the offense, Zakai Zeigler did what Zakai Zeigler does and dished out 12 assists, the senior securing a double-double with 12 points.

The Vols keep dancing, whipping past Wofford, 77-62.

UP NEXT: The Vols advance to the second round of the NCAA tournament for the fourth straight year. Tennessee will face UCLA on Saturday for a spot in the Sweet Sixteen.
