MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — Mt. Juliet officers discovered a suspect wanted out of Nashville was in possession of a stolen handgun during a Tuesday morning traffic stop.
The Mt. Juliet Police Department said the traffic stop was initiated along Belinda Parkway for a suspended license plate. However, officers discovered the driver was a 46-year-old Nashville man and convicted felon in possession of a stolen handgun.


Officers said the handgun had been reported stolen out of Murfreesboro exactly ten years ago Tuesday.
The driver was arrested and charged with possession of a stolen firearm and being a felon in possession of a handgun.
