NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Starting Wednesday evening thorough Sunday, severe weather is possible everywhere across Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky.

All modes of severe weather are possible Wednesday night, but flooding will be a main concern through the rest of the week; specifically in northwestern and western counties.

Excessive rainfall is expected all week long. From Wednesday to Thursday morning, there is a Moderate risk, level 4 out of 5, for heavy rainfall west of Interstate 65.

The threat increases Thursday to Friday at 7 a.m. with a High Risk, level 5 out of 5, for excessive rainfall in Trigg, Christian, Stewart, and Henry counties. Montgomery, Benton, and Carroll counties are clipped by the High Risk.

Models are starting to agree on just how much rain can be expected across the southeast.

The GFS model has the heaviest rain falling in Paris, Camden, Waverly, Clarksville, Dickson, and Portland. Over a foot of rain is possible to fall in these spots from Wednesday evening to Sunday.

Make sure to stay weather alert through the next four days.
