NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Georgia man wanted for a February shooting that injured a man on Hillview Heights in Nashville's Berry Hill neighborhood is now in custody.
According to a release from the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD), 25-year-old Devin Lauderdale is now in custody in Atlanta. Lauderdale was identified by Special Investigations detectives as one of two involved in a Feb. 7 shooting.
The victim was not critically injured, though he was shot in the hip and arm.
Lauderdale was reportedly the passenger inside a Hyundai Elantra. That vehicle then approached the victim as the victim was walking home from work. The driver then exited the vehicle and chased the victim before firing at him.
Lauderdale jumped into the driver's seat and fled the scene once the shooter returned to the vehicle, according to investigators.
MNPD added that the investigation is still ongoing. Lauderdale will soon be returned to Nashville where he is charged with attempted criminal homicide.
