Highway 109 reopens in Wilson County after head-on crash

WILSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A portion of Highway 109 was closed in Wilson County Monday morning after a gas spill caused by a head-on crash.

The crash happened in the 8700 block of Highway 109 around 6:30 a.m.

The Wilson County Sheriff's Office reported a significant amount of gas and oil spilled onto the roadway and both northbound lanes were blocked. The roadway fully reopened to traffic before 8 a.m.

It is not known if anyone was injured in the crash.

Motorists were asked to avoid the area. No additional information was immediately released.
