NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 27-year-old woman was injured after she was shot in North Nashville Monday night.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD), officers were sent to the 700 block of 25th Avenue North at approximately 8:41 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 12, to respond to reports of a shooting.
Authorities reported officers at the scene found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. She was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she is recovering.
Investigators said the suspect is a man who is believed to be at least six feet tall and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with blue jeans. The suspect may be driving a bronze-colored Chevy Tahoe, according to investigators.
Metro police reported domestic violence detectives are leading the investigation. Additional details were not immediately released.
